Gemini Android app to soon get ChatGPT-like real-time responses

The Google Gemini app for Android smartphones will soon offer real-time responses to user queries, a feature limited to Gemini web users.

First spotted by Piunikaweb, the upcoming functionality on the Gemini app makes it an intuitive AI chatbot. With this, users will be able to take a look at the response as it is getting generated and will not have to wait for the complete response to load, which could take some time depending on the type of query.

It has to be enabled from the Gemini app’s settings menu, and once enabled, the responses from Google’s AI chatbot will appear to load faster because they will be displayed in real-time. Technically, Gemini will likely take the same amount of time to respond.

As of now, Google is still testing this feature and might roll it out to eligible smartphones in the coming days, which makes the text generation process on Gemini quite similar to ChatGPT, where the text will appear in a phased manner.

Google has integrated Gemini AI within the Google app for iPhone users, and we can expect to see a similar feature for iOS in the coming days.

Festive offer

Besides, the next version of the Gemini app is also said to introduce the ‘Use location from your device’ feature, where users can now choose if they wish to share their location with the Gemini app, a nifty feature for privacy-conscious Gemini AI users.
