Sony on Monday announced a ‘summer sale’ offer on their recently launched PlayStation 5 Slim model. The console will be available at a discounted price of Rs 49,990.
The deal will go live on May 1 and will be applicable until May 14 or until stocks last on platforms like Amazon, Blinkit, Croma, Flipkart, Reliance, Sony Center, Vijay Sales, and other participating retailers.
Sony recently unveiled the PS5 Slim in India for Rs 54,990. During the sale, the company will offer a flat Rs 5,000 discount on the disc version. This offer will only apply to two models: CFI-2008A01 and CFI-2008B01.
Sony has not yet announced any discounts on the digital version of the PS5 Slim, which is available for Rs 45,990. This version is even slimmer and features a modular design that can be upgraded with a Blu-ray drive in the future. Despite its slim size, the PS5 Slim is as powerful as the standard model, which is currently priced at Rs 44,990.
The PS5 Slim model has undergone a design overhaul and now comes with 1 TB of internal storage, compared to the previous model’s 825 GB of storage. Both models allow for storage expansion using a PCIe Gen5 SSD. Additionally, the PS5 Slim features a four-side-panel design, while the PS5 has a two-panel design.
It is anticipated that Sony will release a professional version of the PS5 by the end of the year. The upcoming console is rumored to be the most powerful gaming device from the brand, capable of providing consistent 4K HDR gaming with ray tracing functionality. However, it is expected to be much more costly than the current model.
